Abstract

Dental anxiety is a common problem affecting people, with migraine and they often experience heightened anxiety degrees throughout procedure. Previous study shows aromatherapy, especially using Lemongrass Oil, has proven promise in reducing anxiety in various contexts. In this study we had analyzed the impact of Lemongrass Oil on dental anxiety amongst people with migraine sufferer undergoing dental procedure. For that we recruited total 50 participants, which was further divided in to two groups A and group B. In group A (intervention group) lemon grass aromatherapy (1-2ml) was given during dental procedure and in group B (control group) an inactive intervention is administered to participants for placebo effect. Thus this study conclude that there in reduction in dental anxiety.
